Spanish Blackjack for Free & Our Bonuses
Many people think that Spanish Blackjack is an old game, but in actuality, the game that appears in many online casinos is actually rather new. There are many rules in Spanish Blackjack, some of which classic blackjack players won’t be familiar with. It won’t take too long for you to get familiar with them though, and you may actually prefer Spanish Blackjack as it has a house edge of only 0.38%.

How to bet?
After you have arrived at the Spanish Blackjack table, you will see a number of chips. These come in values of 1.00, 5.00, 10.00 and 25.00. You can place bets that range from the floor bet of 1.00 per hand, up to the ceiling bet of 200.00 per hand. There are no side-bets are anything like that, so to begin playing Spanish Blackjack, simply put your wager in the betting circle.
How to play?
After the bet has been placed, the player can hit the deal button to begin playing. Two cards will be dealt to the player, whilst the dealer has only one of their two cards showing. Right from the start, the player may hit or stand, although they may also be able to double-down, take insurance, split or surrender, too.
Splitting cards will cost another bet, as will doubling. Players can double as they see fit, and they may re-double more than once. Surrender is available even after doubling-down in this blackjack game (even late surrender), and doubling down is available after a split. Players can re-split up to two times per game, and can re-split aces. Spanish Blackjack is also a multiple hand blackjack game.
Once all player decisions have been made, the dealer will turn over their cards. If the player has a superior hand (up to 21), they will win. If the dealer has a superior hand, they will win. Any hand that goes over 21 is considered bust, and the person with that hand will lose.
It is worth noting that no tens appear in Spanish Blackjack, as they have been removed. Spanish Blackjack is therefore played with 8 decks of 48 cards each. There are also bonus pay-outs in Spanish Blackjack.
Pay-outs
A player’s blackjack will always beat a dealer’s blackjack in Spanish Blackjack. This win will see players pocket wins of 3:2. Insurance pays at 2:1. The dealer will stand on hard 17s. If the player completes a 5-card 21, they will win 3:2, and wins of 2:1 are available for a 6-card 21. A 21 composed of 7 or more cards is worth 3:1 wins. Having a 6-7-8 or 7-7-7 in mixed suits pays out at 3:2, a 6-7-8 or 7-7-7 in the same suit pays 2:1, whilst a 6-7-8 or 7-7-7 of spades is worth 3:1. Suited 7-7-7 when the dealer has a 7 face-up is worth 50:1, but only if the hand has not been split.
Tips and Tricks
Spanish Blackjack is played without tens to increase the house edge. To make up for the lack of 10s, there are many other rules that work in the players favour, such as wins on 21.
